Chips of Clay, a 16.2H Rheinlander by Red Clay Tributary has consistently produced fabulously conformed foals with a calm, willing attitude. "Chessie" has a fabulous jump and incredible hind-end. She has been used in our lesson program in-between foalings and has proven herself to be patient and kind. She is pictured on left, while pregnant with her 5th foal and only a month after weaning Archer in 2011. She is now retired from riding and currently in foal to Apiro for 2018.
Her '14 Banderas filly, Brilliance was awarded 2015 USHJA Zone 3 Champion for Hunter Breeding Yearlings and 4th Place USEF Nat'l Finish, as well as 4th at Devon & Top RPSI Yearling in Hunter Breeding! Pic at right.
Sanibel, her '09 Sempatico filly was awarded Top Ten National USEF Hunter Breeding as well as top finishes at Devon (3rd), Warrenton (4th) and Sallie Wheeler Nat'l Championships (4th) and Best Turned Out at the Warrenton Horse Show. She consistently wowed the judges with her movement. Currently competing PSG with trainer Elise Bishop and working under the tutelage of Julio Mendoza.
Her other foals were sold prior to us getting a chance to show them. All are thriving in their new homes. Archer at right, a stunning '11 Apiro gelding. Below is Bandolay ('13 Banderas filly), full sibling to Brilliance at her RPSI Inspection and Chartwell, a '15 Checkmate colt.
This broodmare has consistently thrown level-headed beautiful foals that are VERY successful in the hunter breeding prior to performance.
